Sugar-free Iced Tea

I love water and I truly believe that water is a main source of well-being and beauty. However, I also sometimes crave something other than water, something with a little taste and sweetness to it. As I avoid all artificial sweeteners, and therefore will not drink diet soda and similar drinks, I have been trying several stevia sweetened sodas and iced teas. Whereas I generally like most of them, I feel the stevia taste is always somewhat present – and the price is usually ridiculous! A very good alternative is to make your own iced tea! And this way, YOU decide how sweet, you want it and which taste, it’ll have. So far, I have made regular black tea with lemon, wild berry/hibiscus and raspberry zinger teas – and I have loved each and every variation!

How to make:

Boil water and make the tea of your choice. I use 2 bags per quart of boiling water. Add 3-4 T of Sukrin sweetener per quart of tea, I use 4 T Sukrin:1 which I love because it is exactly like sugar with no weird aftertaste – and all natural. Cool in fridge and serve with ice and a slice of lemon. The tea in the picture is Celestial Raspberry Zinger.

I love celestial seasonings tea, my favs are black cherry, wild berry and blueberry. I brew them strong and don’t need to put any sweetener at all in them. Better yet, this tea helped me get my fiance off of Arizona sweetened tea….UGH!!

I enjoy this when I think I need a little “more” than just water – and then I really like a bit of sweetener in it. Would choose it anyway over Arizona, Brisk or similar….
